Most insurers will give time, typically 7 days, for the cancellation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You also have to submit the original certificate of insurance or make a statutory declaration if you have lost or damaged the certificate within the period given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Insurance_refund\"><\/span>Insurance refund<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon cancellation, you are eligible to get a refund of the premium based on the designated short-term period.
