Cliff Collapse, 5 Vehicles Damaged by Landslip"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A landslip in Lestari Perdana, Seri Kembangan, Selangor damaged five vehicles at about 6.30 pm on January 25. The collapse of the 90-meter-long <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinarharian.com.my\/article\/184869\/BERITA\/Semasa\/Tanah-mendap-17-premis-diarah-henti-sementara-operasi\">cliff<\/a> with a height of nine meters involved a parking area and part of the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The alarming incident recorded by a nearby individual showed several vehicles, including cars and a van slipping following the landslip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A witness to the incident, Alter Jasan, 48, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinarharian.com.my\/article\/184829\/BERITA\/Semasa\/Pergerakan-tanah-berlaku-begitu-pantas-Saksi\">Sinar Harian<\/a> that the incident happened quite fast. According to Alter, the incident started with a small crack before the ground started moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon seeing the ground movement, Alter managed to move a few cars with the help of some of his friends. Alter added that heavy rains in the area before the incident indirectly caused the soil settlement and landslip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on a report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utusan.com.my\/terkini\/2022\/01\/lima-kenderaan-rosak-akibat-tanah-mendap\/\">Utusan Malaysia<\/a>, the Director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Norazam Khamis Anuar said the piling work around the incident area is now in full swing. The piling work is expected to take about a week to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the piling is to ensure no ground movement and prevent the incident from recurring.
