PDRM will use the device on the nation&#8217;s highways and expressways in Op Selamat 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/news\/nation\/2022\/01\/765724\/op-selamat-17-police-use-car-radar-icops-during-cny-nsttv\">New Straits Times (NST)<\/a>, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Razarudin Husain said the &#8216;In-Car Radar&#8217; technology will add to the normal enforcement operations. <strong>&#8216;In-Car Radar&#8217; will detect vehicles that exceed the set speed limit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"intelligent-compound-online-payment-system-icops\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%98Intelligent_Compound_Online_Payment_System%E2%80%99_iCOPS\"><\/span>&#8216;Intelligent Compound Online Payment System&#8217; (iCOPS)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides &#8216;In-Car Radar&#8217;, PDRM will also, for the first time, use &#8216;Intelligent Compound Online Payment System&#8217; (iCOPS) in Op Selamat 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;<strong>iCOPS&#8217; is a technological device that detects traffic offenders with outstanding summonses and traffic arrest warrants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This will include vehicles involved in criminal cases such as stolen vehicles, clones and so on,&#8221; said Razarudin as reported by the NST. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Explained Razarudin, both tools (&#8216;In-Car Radar&#8217; and &#8216;iCOPS&#8217;) are handy in systematically storing and building vehicle profiles for PDRM&#8217;s analysis records now and in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Razarudin added that PDRM&#8217;s Highway Patrol team would implement the &#8216;In-Car Radar&#8217; and &#8216;iCOPS&#8217; in Op Selamat 17.
