According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kosmo.com.my\/2021\/01\/07\/jalan-rosak-berlubang-bawa-bencana\/\">Selangor Traffic Enforcement&nbsp;and&nbsp;Investigation Department<\/a> chief&nbsp;Superintendent Azman Shari&#8217;at, 148&nbsp;cases resulted in death. Out of these fatalities, 116 cases involved motorcyclists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_50 counter-hierarchy ez-toc-counter ez-toc-grey <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utusan.com.my\/berita\/2021\/01\/lagi-penunggang-motosikal-maut-langgar-jalan-berlubang\/\">A 75-year-old folk died<\/a> after the motorcycle he rode hit a pothole at Jalan Tengah heading to Mid Valley at 7.30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>4 January 2021<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utusan.com.my\/berita\/2021\/01\/lagi-penunggang-motosikal-maut-langgar-jalan-berlubang\/\">A 31-year-old food delivery rider died<\/a> as he lost control of his motorcycle when it hit a pothole on Jalan PJU 7\/2, Mutiara Damansara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>18 March 2021<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kosmo.com.my\/2021\/03\/18\/jalan-berlubang-punca-terlepas-peperiksaan\/\">A form six student<\/a> claimed that she missed her Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination paper after being involved in an accident due to a pothole at Kilometer 8, Jalan Lipis-Padang Tengku, Kuala Lipis, Pahang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>16 June 2021<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A Wira driver faced an anxious moment when his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kosmo.com.my\/2021\/06\/16\/kereta-terbenam-angkara-jalan-berlubang\/\">car sank into a hole due to road sediment<\/a> at Jalan Lampam, Tanjung Puteri Resort, Pasir Gudang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>18 November 2021<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An old folk fell on the road when the of the situation <strong>can file a suit against the relevant party (authorities\/government) under Section 5 of the Government Proceedings Act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you still have to fulfil the criteria when filing a lawsuit. The suit for negligence requires sufficient evidence so that compensation may proceed to the relevant party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to keep in mind that filing a suit will take quite some time.
