You are not allowed to walk in without a prior appointment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/lkm-appointment.puspakom.com.my\/\">Puspakom\u2019s official website<\/a><\/li><li>Click \u2018Make an appointment now\u2019<\/li><li>Choose the state and your preferred Puspakom centre<\/li><li>Choose date and time<\/li><li>Fill in your details and click \u2018Book\u2019<\/li><li>Complete. You will receive a confirmation email for the appointment<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*Note: Please set the appointment 2 days earlier before the inspection date<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_sure_your_vehicle_is_in_good_condition\"><\/span>Make sure your vehicle is in good condition<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure your vehicle is in good condition. You may want to avoid any trouble to ensure your vehicle can pass the Puspakom inspection at ease!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As such, please check your car headlights, tires, brake, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Get_a_temporary_travel_permit\"><\/span>Get a temporary travel permit&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Some may feel that this is unnecessary and the procedure is time-consuming. Therefore, they prefer to skip this step and just drive illegally without a valid road tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beware, you may not want to test your luck and get summoned on a roadblock for driving without an active road tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, we advise you to be a responsible driver by getting the permit first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can go to any nearby JPJ branch to request a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpj.gov.my\/en\/web\/main-site\/pelesenan-kenderaan-en\/-\/knowledge_base\/pelesenan-kenderaan\/temporary-travel-permit-for-vehicle-inspection-purpose-jpj-k12-\">temporary travel permit at JPJ<\/a>. You will need to fill in the form (JPJ K12). For your convenience, you may download the form (JPJ K12) from the JPJ website before coming to the branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than that, you will need to provide these documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Original vehicle grant<\/li><li>MyKad<\/li><li>Driving licence<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Inspection_day\"><\/span>Inspection day<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the inspection day, make sure you bring the necessary documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Vehicle grant<\/li><li>MyKad<\/li><li>Driving licence<\/li><li>Temporary travel permit.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to register at the counter first, make payment and wait until the inspection is complete. Usually, the procedure will include an inspection of the brake, signal lights, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive the inspection report\/certificate on the same day if your vehicle passes the examination. Upon receiving the certificate, make sure you renew your vehicle road tax within 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if your vehicle failed the examination, you may come again to sit for a re-examination within the next 30 days.
