Expired driving licence<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Given situation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Akmal has already possessed a licence since 5 years ago. Recently, Akmal w<\/em>as<em> involved in a road crash, not knowing that his licence has expired. However, Akmal&#8217;s vehicle insurance and roadtax are still not expiring yet.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the situation above, you need to understand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Akmal has a driving licence<\/li><li>Akmal&#8217;s driving licence has expired when the accident takes place (let&#8217;s assume that Akmal forgot to renew his licence)<\/li><li>Akmal&#8217;s car has valid insurance coverage<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this situation, Akmal is eligible to claim although his driving licence has already expired. Akmal&#8217;s insurer will not deny his claim as his vehicle insurance is valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the law, Akmal is still possessing a valid driving licence. It is just that Akmal &#8216;forgot&#8217; to renew his licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Akmal can be compounded a fine of up to RM300, according to Section 26 (1) APJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Do_not_possess_a_driving_licence\"><\/span>2. Do not possess a driving licence<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Given situation: <strong>Gambaran situasi<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Zack did not have a driver\u2019s license and drove his father\u2019s vehicle illegally. Unfortunately, he was involved in an accident. However, his father\u2019s car has valid insurance coverage.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the situation above, you need to understand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Zack did not have a driving licence<\/li><li>Zack drove his father&#8217;s car and bumped into an accident<\/li><li>His father&#8217;s car has valid insurance coverage<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In this situation, the insurance company will not entertain any claim application if the accident involves a driver who does not have a licence.
