First, most policies have a &#8216;cut-off date&#8217; by which you must purchase to be eligible for coverage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you plan to travel on 17 June 2023, you must purchase the insurance at least by 16 June 2023 to be eligible for coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second, the premium for your travel insurance plan may be more expensive if you only get it closer to your departure date. The insurance company might consider you a high-risk passenger if you buy insurance at the last minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Can_I_get_it_when_I%E2%80%99m_abroad\"><\/span>Can I get it when I&#8217;m abroad?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people prefer getting travel insurance for overseas vacations.
