exemption:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Owners of classic or vintage vehicles<\/li><li>Owners of vehicles used by Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) or relevant institutions<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\">Read further to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Roadtax_reduction_for_classic_and_vintage_vehicles\"><\/span>Roadtax reduction for classic and vintage vehicles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the JPJ&#8217;s Instruction No. 13\/2000 (Amendment 1\/2002), owners of classic or vintage vehicles are eligible to apply for roadtax reduction for their vehicles that are classified as classic or vintage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, note that in order for you to apply for the roadtax reduction, you must first obtain the classic or vintage car status from the JPJ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Roadtax_reduction_according_to_vehicle%E2%80%99s_age\"><\/span>Roadtax reduction according to vehicle&#8217;s age<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Classic car<\/strong> &#8211; You can enjoy up to an 80% reduction in annual roadtax if your car qualifies as a classic car after reaching 25 years old<\/li><li><strong>Vintage car <\/strong>&#8211; You can get up to a 90% reduction in annual roadtax if your car qualifies as a vintage car after reaching 50 class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to apply for roadtax reduction for classic or vintage vehicles, you need to submit the following documents to the JPJ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A copy of the vehicle registration card (bring along the original copy)<\/li><li>A copy of the Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) other than the VOC of the classic or vintage vehicle <\/li><li>A minimum of 4 pictures of the vehicle (front, rear, side and steering\/dashboard views)<\/li><li>A copy of the identity card of the car owner<\/li><li>Vintage\/classic car certificate from a recognised club<\/li><li>An inspection report from the JPJ <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that the roadtax rate reduction applications will be processed at the JPJ Headquarters (HQ). In fact, some of them are also eligible to apply for roadtax exemption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer to the table below for the reduction of roadtax for a range of vehicles used by different NGOs and close relations with the Government&#8217;s interests<\/li><li>Religious organisations <\/li><li>Companies that use vehicles within a limited area of \u200b\u200boperation such as on a farm<\/li><li>Welfare or religious organisations that own hearses (vehicles for conveying the coffin at the funeral)<\/li><li>National\/State Public Library that owns vehicles used as mobile libraries<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_to_apply_for_roadtax_exemption\"><\/span>Procedure to apply for roadtax exemption<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar to the application for roadtax exemption for vintage and classic vehicles, owners of vehicles used for NGOs and relevant institutions will also have to <meta charset=\"utf-8\">submit their applications to the JPJ with the necessary documents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Documents_required_to_apply_for_roadtax_exemption\"><\/span>Documents required to apply for roadtax exemption<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to apply for roadtax exemption, here are the documents that you need to prepare:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 copies of the JPJ K14 Form<\/li><li>A copy of the Vehicle Registration Certificate for each vehicle applied for roadtax exemption or reduction<\/li><li>A copy of the Certificate of Constitution and Certificate of Registration of the Organization<\/li><li>3 pictures of the vehicle (front, rear and side views)<\/li><li>A copy of a written agreement between the applicant and the Government of Malaysia for an international organisation (if applicable)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
