FF Number Plate Series Records Highest Revenue Since JPJeBid’s Launch

    In Malaysia, owning a car is a luxury, especially when bidding for your favourite number plate. Every year, car owners spend tens of thousands of ringgits to try and get their preferred or fancy number plates for various reasons.

    This is certainly true with the latest Putrajaya number plate series, “FF”, launched last week to mark JPJ’s 77th anniversary.

    FF number plate series record highest revenue

    Putrajaya’s special “FF” number plate created a buzz among new vehicle owners last week. The fancy number plate series records RM34,296,327 in revenue.

    According to Transport Minister Anthony Loke, this was the highest revenue ever generated since the launch of the JPJeBid system on 15 April 2019. The highest bid is worth nearly a million ringgit at RM950,000 for the “FF8” number plate, followed by RM911,999 for “FF9”.

    The third and fourth highest bids were RM639,000 and RM638,000 for the “FF3” and “FF2” number plates, respectively. The fifth highest bid was for the “FF7” number plate at RM633,000.

    The most popular numbers from the FF series with the highest bidders were:

    • “FF199” – 34 bidders
    • “FF51” – 32 bidders
    • “FF155” – 29 bidders
    • “FF555” – 29 bidders
    • “FF1688” – 29 bidders

    Loke also said that the response to this special number plate was incredible, seeing some 34,032 bidders in total. Of the 9,999 available numbers, 8,348 were bid upon and won over.
