    Tips to prevent motorcycle theft

    Park in a well-lit area

    Park in a well-lit area

Please park your motorcycle in a safe area even if you need to be away for a short period.

Park your motorcycle in a well-lit area, such as in front of a restaurant or in a crowded place that is easily spotted.

Avoid parking your motorcycle near a tree, building, or in a hidden area that is difficult to be seen by the public. Such ‘hidden’ places will give an easy way for thieves to steal your motorcycle.

    Lock your motorcycle

Make sure to lock your motorcycle after you turn off the engine. Do not forget to lock your motorcycle handlebars even if you need to go somewhere nearby for a short period.

It does not take long for a thief to steal a motorcycle. Your motorcycle may be gone in seconds. Therefore, please have your motorcycle locked when you are away.

If you need to park your motorcycle for a while, make sure you lock everything, including the handle lock and disc brake.

    Use a cable or chain

Use a cable or chain to lock your motorcycle

A thief can still steal your motorcycle with a locked handlebar. Suppose that they are 3 to 4 thieves. They could just lift your motorcycle together and move it anywhere they want without problems.

However, do not worry. You can still secure your motorcycle safely. Tie your motorcycle with a cable or chain with a sturdy object like a pole or iron bar. It will help make it harder for anyone to move your motorcycle by force.

    Install an alarm system

The alarm system is not only designed for car purposes. You can also put the alarm system on your motorcycle.

It is an effective way to get noticed by the public if a motorcycle is stolen.

There is also an alarm system equipped with motion detectors to ensure no one disturbs your motorcycle.

    Install a GPS tracker

Installing a GPS tracker on your motorcycle can reduce the risk of theft.

The installation will also allow you to monitor your motorcycle through a live video on a mobile phone.

You can simply activate the tracker by inserting a valid SIM card. The GPS will notify you of the exact location of your motorcycle in the event of theft.
