For the Seller:
- Vehicle Registration Card (Geran/RC)
- Must be the original
- Ensure ownership details are current
- Copy of Identity Card (IC)
- Both front and back
- Bank Authorization Letter (if under loan)
- From the bank that still holds the car’s grant
- Latest Roadtax Receipt
- Helps buyer avoid immediate renewal if still valid
- Sales & Purchase Agreement
- Not legally required but highly recommended as proof
- Not legally required but highly recommended as proof
For the Buyer:
- Copy of Identity Card (IC)
- For ownership transfer at JPJ
- New Insurance Coverage
- Must be under buyer’s name before ownership transfer
- Processing Fees (JPJ & PUSPAKOM)
- PUSPAKOM B5 inspection for transfer
- JPJ transfer fee (around RM100 – RM150)
Additional Steps (If Applicable):
- PUSPAKOM Inspection (B5 Report)
Mandatory for ownership transfer - Outstanding Payments (summons, loans, roadtax, etc.)
Must be cleared before a valid transaction
