How much do of penalty/fines you need to pay for driving with expired licence
You are liable for fines if you drive without a valid driving licence. The following is the amount that you have to pay over time.

To your knowledge, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has warned to revoke those expired driving licences by June 30 if a renewal is not carried out by June 30.
At present, the holders of expired driving licences will be fined for driving with an expired license. However, JPJ will issue a summons for those driving without a licence after June 30.

You need to present your MyKad and your existing driver’s licence.
Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ)
You may visit ant nearest JPJ office to renew your driver’s licence. You need to present your MyKad and your existing driver’s licence.
Urban Transformation Centre (UTC)
Most UTCs have attached their JPJ branches to their building. Therefore, you may renew your driving licence here.
You can check for further information on their website regarding their venues, operating hours, and others.
Online renewal
Offline renewals require you to spend your time and energy. As such, you may have to wait longer. To avoid such consequences, you may simply renew it online.
MyEG
You need to visit their website to renew your driving licence online. The following steps are simple.
- Click the “Login” button to enter
- You may click the “Register Now” button to create an account if you do not have any
- Fill in the required details
- Click on the “Renewing Driving License” button
- Fill in all the required information and select your payment method
- MyEG will send you your new driving license to your address
*Note: Ensure all the information is correct upon payment confirmation. Don’t forget to save the receipt as proof if necessary.
