PUSPAKOM goes fully cashless starting July 1

Puspakom Sdn Bhd has announced that all payment transactions for all vehicle inspections will go cashless starting July 1.

Chief executive officer Shukor Ismail said they will enforce the cashless transaction method at all 54 checkpoints nationwide. He added that customers may make payments online via e-wallets, credit cards, and debit cards.

Other cashless payments through various e-wallet options include Puspakom e-wallet, Maybank QRPay, GrabPay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, WeChat Pay, and Alipay.

90% of Puspakom customers use cashless transaction method

Shukor said the cashless payments have been implemented since April last year. He added that it includes the issuance of paperless electronic inspection reports and receipts as well.

“However, cash payments were still allowed at that time. There were still a small number of customers who did not have e-wallets, debit, or credit cards.”

He said 90% of Puspakom customers use the cashless method at all branches.

“This clearly shows that cashless payment is an option. It is easier, faster, and safer in terms of hygiene during the current pandemic.”
