    Can I renew my roadtax without insurance?

    You cannot renew your roadtax without insurance.

    You must renew your insurance before you can proceed with roadtax renewal.

    Can I renew my roadtax if I have outstanding summonses?

    You cannot renew your roadtax if you have outstanding summonses.

    During your roadtax renewal process, your outstanding summonses and blacklist records, if any, will be reflected in The Road Transport Department (JPJ) and The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) database systems.

    In order to renew your roadtax, you first have to clear your outstanding summonses.

    Can I renew my roadtax after 3 years?

    You can still renew your roadtax even though it has expired for more than 3 years.

    However, your vehicle must first undergo and pass the necessary inspection by Pusat Pemeriksaan Kenderaan Berkomputer (PUSPAKOM).

    Can I cancel my roadtax?

    You can cancel your roadtax, due to these common reasons:

    • Change of vehicle ownership
    • Change of type of insurance

    The procedure to cancel your roadtax is as follows:

    • Prepare a copy of your identity card as the vehicle owner
    • Prepare a copy of your bank statements verified and stamped by your bank
    • Remove your roadtax sticker from your windscreen
    • Present your roadtax and a copy of the bank statements at any JPJ branch
    • Receive the refund via online transfer within a month
