Hooray Malaysians! The most anticipated service from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) is finally here. Starting 1st February 2024, MyJPJ roadtax renewal will be a reality for tens of thousands of private vehicle owners. As announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook earlier this month, the MyJPJ application will support two new features starting next month — vehicle renewal and driver’s licence renewal.

How to renew road tax via MyJPJ?
Renew your vehicle road tax digitally via the MyJPJ app by following the steps below. But first, ensure that you have the mobile application already installed on your device and have registered for an account.

Step 1: Open your MyJPJ app and click on the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Click on the “Roadtax” tab and select the vehicle registration number (if you have more than one vehicle).
Step 3: After selecting the vehicle, click the “Renew” button that appears below.
Step 4: Select “Roadtax Type, Duration, Digital Mode & Payment Method” and click ‘Pay’.
Step 5: Key in your credit/debit card details and click “Proceed”.
Step 6: Enter the verification code and click “Submit” to complete the transaction.
Step 7: Once the payment is successful, the renewed road tax can be viewed from the app itself.
How to renew driver’s licence via MyJPJ?
Renewing your driver’s licence via MyJPJ is also possible starting February 1st. Just follow the steps stated below:
Step 1: Open your MyJPJ app and click on the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Click the “Competent Driving License”.
Step 3: Click the “Renew” button that appears below.
Step 4: Select “Licence Type, Duration, Digital Mode & Payment Method” and click ‘Pay’.
Step 5: Key in your credit/debit card details and click “Proceed”.
Step 6: Enter the verification code and click “Submit” to complete the transaction.
Step 7: Once the payment is successful, you can view your driver’s licence from the app itself.
