How To Share & View Roadtax Via MyJPJ?

    The road tax department has recently announced that Malaysians can renew their car road tax using the MyJPJ app. Following the news, transport minister Anthony Loke has also mentioned that the app will also enable vehicle owners to share their road tax with friends and family through a new future called Kongsi e-LKM. Let us explain how you can share and view digital roadtax using the MyJPJ mobile application in this article.

    Steps to follow by the sender

    Share your vehicle road tax digitally via the MyJPJ app by following the steps below. But first, please ensure that you have the app already installed on your device and have registered for an account.

    Step 1: Open your MyJPJ app and click on the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom of the page.

    Step 2: Click on the “Roadtax” tab and select the vehicle registration number (if you have more than one vehicle).

    Step 3: After selecting the vehicle, click on the “Kongsi LKM” button that appears below.

    Step 4: Click the “+” symbol to share your MyJPJ roadtax with a new recipient. If you have previously shared the road tax the details of your current recipients will be displayed here.

    Step 5: Add the recipient’s identification card number and select the share period before submitting.

    Step 6: Confirm the details and click “Yes” to proceed.

    Step 7: You will then be given a security code, which you must share with the recipient to activate the sharing of the digital roadtax.

    Steps to follow by the recipient

    If you are a recipient of the e-LKM, you must also ensure that the MyJPJ app is already installed on your device and you have registered for an account.

    Follow the steps below to view the digital road tax that has been shared with you.

    Step 1: Open your MyJPJ app and click on the ‘Profile’ icon at the bottom of the page.

    Step 2: Click on the “Generate Again” button and choose the vehicle registration number.

    Step 3: Enter the security code that has been shared with you within 24 hours (The security code expires for 24 hours).

    Step 4: After keying in the security code, the e-roadtax sharing will be activated.

    Step 5: You can now view the road tax that has been shared with you. The sharing will be active for the duration set by the vehicle owner or until he/she decides to stop sharing.
