Langkah Pertama

1. Nature of the Program

  • BJAK Langkah Pertama is a voluntary community grant initiative fully funded by BJAK Sdn Bhd.
  • It is not an entitlement, loan, insurance product, or financial service.
  • All grants are voluntary, discretionary, and subject to internal approval, verification, and available allocation.
  • BJAK reserves the right to accept, decline, or discontinue applications at any time.

2. Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above
  • Not yet own or operate a registered business
  • Individuals who do not currently own or operate any registered business
  • Be planning to start a micro-business within the next 3–6 months
  • Provide accurate information and documents if requested
  • Submit their own video (no representatives allowed)

BJAK may request supporting documents for verification.

3. Grant Amount & Form of Support

BJAK may award between RM10,000 to RM50,000 depending on:

  • Feasibility of the business idea
  • Clarity of purpose
  • Impact potential
  • Level of support needed
  • Available program funds

Grants may be:

  • Full or partial
  • Provided in stages
  • Delivered in the form of purchased items, paid invoices, or a booth at BJAK Bazaar

Cash transfers are limited and only used in verified cases. Cash disbursement is limited, exceptional, and subject to additional verification.

4. Use of Funds Permitted & Non-Permitted Use of Grant

Grant support may cover:

  • Equipment or tools
  • Raw materials
  • Packaging
  • Stall setup or rental
  • Basic marketing required for launching
  • Training, certifications, or licensing
  • Business launch essentials
  • Essential business start-up expenses

Grant cannot be used for:

  • Debt repayment
  • Personal expenses
  • Gambling (including any speculative activities), illegal activities, or high-risk schemes
  • Cryptocurrency or investment activities

BJAK may cancel support if misuse is detected.

5. Assessment, Selection & Decisions

To protect program integrity, BJAK will not publish full internal assessment criteria. detailed criteria to prevent manipulation.

Applicants acknowledge that:

  • Selection is based on internal review and due diligence
  • Not all applicants can be assisted
  • Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted
  • BJAK is not obligated to provide reasons for rejection
  • All decisions are final and no appeals will be entertained

6. Verification & Compliance

BJAK may verify:

  • Identity and eligibility
  • Video authenticity
  • Stated business plan
  • Feasibility of business plan
  • Vendor invoices or quotations
  • Any additional Required documents required for equipment or stall rental

Any false, misleading, or inconsistent information may lead to:

  • Immediate disqualification of the application
  • Cancellation of any approved grant
  • Blacklisting from future BJAK programs

7. Publicity

Selected applicants may be invited to participate in:

  • BJAK content or campaigns
  • Documentary-style storytelling
  • The "BJAK Mula Di Sini" series
  • BJAK Bazaar appearances

Participation is optional, and refusal will not affect eligibility or grant status.

8. Personal Data & Privacy Data Use

Personal data collected will be used solely for purposes related to:

  • Application assessment
  • Verification
  • Compliance
  • Reporting and audit
  • Production planning (if selected)
  • Content production (if selected)

Data will be securely handled and retained according to BJAK's policies. Data will be managed according to BJAK's internal data protection policies and applicable Malaysian laws.

9. BJAK Rights

BJAK may reserves the right to:

  • Adjust program guidelines
  • Change the grant amount
  • Review or pause the program
  • Reject any submission without explanation
  • Set monthly caps
  • Withdraw support if misuse is detected
  • Modify program guidelines
  • Adjust grant amounts
  • Impose monthly recipient caps
  • Suspend or terminate the program
  • Reject any submission without explanation
  • Withdraw support or recover assets if misuse or non-compliance is confirmed

10. General Disclaimer

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. All assistance is voluntary and subject to internal governance and available funds. All grants are discretionary and subject to internal governance, verification, and availability of funds. BJAK will not be liable for any losses, expectations, or costs arising from application participation or program changes.
