How these pages are reviewed
Every page is checked against the document that governs it, not against other websites. That means three sources: the insurer’s own policy wording and product disclosure sheet, PIAM’s coverage definitions, and JPJ’s published road tax rates. Prices carry the date they were read, and no claim goes live without a document behind it.
Attribution matters more in motor insurance than readers expect. Since Bank Negara Malaysia liberalised motor pricing in 2017, every insurer sets its own premium and add-on rates, so a figure accurate for one partner is not automatically accurate for another. Where a page quotes a rate, it names the insurer it came from.
A few things are genuinely industry-wide, and those are stated plainly: the three levels of cover, the No Claim Discount ladder from 25% to 55%, and the RM400 compulsory excess for a driver under 21, on a P or L licence, or not named on the policy. Everything else is attributed to the insurer that set it.
