How does BJAK make money?
Commission from providers
When a customer buys an insurance or takaful policy through BJAK, the selected provider may pay BJAK a commission for facilitating the sale and supporting the transaction.
The customer does not normally pay a separate comparison fee simply for viewing quotations on BJAK.
Optional services and payment fees
Some orders may include optional services, delivery choices, add-ons or instalment arrangements. When a separate fee applies, it should appear in the order breakdown before payment.
How this relates to quote ranking
An insurer does not receive a higher default position in the comparison list because it pays BJAK more. Quotations are shown in random order by default, and customers can sort or filter them based on their own preferences.
What customers should review
Before paying, review the full breakdown and make sure you understand which amounts relate to the policy, roadtax, optional services and payment method.
Important clarification
Commercial arrangements can differ between providers and products. BJAK's income does not replace the insurer's responsibility for policy coverage, underwriting, claims or cancellation decisions.
