How is money in the client account handled?

What the client account is for

The client account is used to hold customer premiums separately from BJAK's operating funds while the payment is being matched, processed and remitted for the relevant order.

How payments are matched

Each successful transaction has an order reference and a payment reference. Finance records use these references to match the amount paid with the correct vehicle, customer order, insurer or takaful operator and selected services.

How remittance works

BJAK remits payments to insurers or takaful operators according to agreed settlement timelines. Some products or providers may require Cash-Before-Cover, which means the required payment must be received before coverage can be issued.

How accuracy is checked

Transactions are monitored and reconciled against BJAK's records and the relevant provider records. Reconciliation helps identify missing, duplicated or unmatched transactions so the finance team can investigate them.

Who can access the account

Access is limited to authorised finance personnel and relevant system roles. Actions and transactions are logged to support review and accountability.

What this means for customers

These controls help ensure that a payment is linked to the correct order and that the correct amount is remitted. If a mismatch is identified, BJAK may need additional time to confirm the transaction before the order proceeds.
