Where does my payment go?

How the payment is separated

Your total payment may contain several parts, such as the policy premium, tax, roadtax, optional add-ons or a payment-provider charge. BJAK records these amounts against your order so each part can be processed for its intended purpose.

The premium is kept in a dedicated client account, separate from BJAK's operating funds. BJAK remits payments to insurers according to agreed timelines and Cash-Before-Cover rules where required. Transactions are monitored and reconciled to support accuracy and security.

What happens to the insurance or takaful amount

The premium portion is matched to your selected insurer or takaful operator and order details. It is then remitted according to the applicable settlement arrangement so the provider can complete policy issuance.

What happens to the roadtax amount

When roadtax is included, the relevant amount is used to complete the roadtax renewal process. Roadtax processing can only proceed when the required insurance information and vehicle records are available and valid.

What happens after payment

BJAK checks the payment result and order details. If everything required is complete, the order proceeds for policy and roadtax processing. If more information is needed, BJAK will contact you through the details linked to the order.

Important clarification

A successful payment does not always mean the policy or roadtax is already active. Coverage starts according to the effective date issued by the insurer or takaful operator, and roadtax depends on successful processing with the relevant systems.
