Does BJAK use customer money for daily operations?

How customer money is separated

The premium you pay is kept in a dedicated client account. This account is separate from the accounts used for salaries, marketing, office costs and other day-to-day operating expenses.

This separation helps ensure that customer money is used for the order it was collected for, rather than being treated as general company income.

How BJAK funds its business

BJAK operates using its own business income, including commissions received from insurers or takaful operators and any separate fees that are clearly shown before payment. These funds are accounted for separately from customer premiums.

How transactions are controlled

Payments are matched to order records, monitored and reconciled. Access to financial systems is limited to authorised personnel, and transactions are logged so that the finance team can review the movement and status of funds.

What happens if an order cannot proceed

If the relevant insurance, takaful or roadtax service cannot be completed, BJAK will review the order and arrange the applicable refund. The refund method and timing depend on the payment provider, payment channel and the status of the order.

Important clarification

Separate handling of customer money does not mean all payments remain in the client account for the same length of time. Remittance depends on the insurer's agreed settlement arrangement and Cash-Before-Cover requirements where applicable.
