Does BJAK store my full card number?
What BJAK receives
After a card payment attempt, the provider sends BJAK information needed to manage the order. This can include the transaction reference, amount, payment status, provider name and limited card information such as the card type or masked digits.
BJAK does not need the complete card number or card security code to check whether an order was paid.
Why transaction records are kept
Transaction records are needed to:
- Match the payment to the correct order
- Confirm whether payment succeeded
- Investigate a failed or duplicated transaction
- Reconcile provider and finance records
- Process or track an applicable refund
What customers should avoid sharing
Do not send a photo of your card or share the full card number, security code, expiry date or one-time password with BJAK staff through support channels.
